When Chez Oskar opened in 1998, a culinary bohemia exploded on the back streets of Brooklyn. Inspired by New York’s Harlem Renaissance and the neighborhood bistros of Paris, Oskar is a culinary counterculture to Manhattan’s sterile eateries, cranking out fine French cuisine jazzed up by Brooklyn’s cultural diversity.
